I work with individuals and couples for short term counselling or longer term psychotherapy.
Hi. My name is Celine Moran and I am a fully qualified and experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
I have a great deal of experience working with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, childhood trauma and abuse, eating problems and relationship difficulties. I have worked for a number of mental health charities and am an experienced group facilitator.
There are many reasons why people come to counselling and psychotherapy. You may have a particular issue which is causing you distress or a number of issues that are troubling you. Whatever brings you to counselling, I aim to provide a safe, caring and confidential setting where you can explore what is relevant for you, at your own pace and for the number of sessions you need. I also engage in continual professional development to further my knowledge and development.
I work with individuals and couples for short term counselling or longer term psychotherapy.
I hold a diploma in Counselling and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy. I am a member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and practice in accordance to their code of ethics.
I began my professional career with a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from Dublin City University and worked for a number of years in project and marketing management roles within the healthcare industry.
I take an integrative, humanistic approach to my work. This simply means that I combine a variety of techniques and approaches to help you understand the difficulties you are experiencing and work with you to find a way through them.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process; my role is not to fix your difficulties but to facilitate understanding and awareness and to empower you to make new choices and changes. I work relationally, which means I highly value the relationship between us; it provides both a context for understanding how you deal with relationships and a framework for developing healthier relationships.
“By helping you to access your own strengths, resources and potential, counselling/therapy aims to enable you to find solutions and develop your capacity to make decisions and choices so that you feel more in control of your life.”
My fee is €50 per one hour session for individuals and €60 for couples. I believe counselling and psychotherapy should be available to all and therefore offer a number of low cost counselling sessions. Please contact me to discuss further about our services.
